According to Judy, Mrs. Oldcastle has been unkind to Ethelwyn because Ethelwyn will not marry her cousin Mr. Everard.
Mr. Everard the cousin has now returned to London, and Mrs. Oldcastle and Sarah have followed in order to persuade him to marry Ethelwyn.
Other news is that Mr. Stoddart is sick. Mr. Walton promises to come visit him tomorrow.
